Filmmaker and actor Farhan Akhtar is currently gearing up for the shooting of Don 3. Having announced Ranveer Singh as the new-era don a few years ago, a lot has been written, said, and done about the upcoming film. Well, as fans are buzzing with excitement, a new update has surfaced on the internet. According to a report by India Today, it seems like the previous-generation dons will come forward to introduce Singh’s character.
Yes, you read that right! Quoting the media publication’s report, News18 states that the makers of Don 3 have approached Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan to appear in the film. It is to be noted that, as of yet, nothing has officially been signed; however, the idea of getting the opportunity to witness the three actors come together has left the internet in a tizzy. If they do come together, Don 3 would surely become one of the most talked-about collaborations in Hindi cinema history.

It is to be noted that the makers had announced that Kiara Advani will be the leading lady of the film. However, after she got pregnant, media reports surfaced stating that she has opted out of the movie. While the makers are yet to announce who the new leading lady will be, many reports have mentioned that it is Kriti Sanon. Fans have been waiting with bated breath to know who will be stepping into Priyanka Chopra’s shoes for the upcoming film.
According to various media reports, the filming of Don 3 will begin in January 2026 and will aim for a theatrical release in December 2026.

Talking about the film’s franchise, a remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s Don (1987), the Farhan Akhtar directorial Don: The Chase Begins Again (2006) was loved by the audience. Starring Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra in lead roles, the sequel to the first movie, Don 2: The King Is Back, was released in 2011.
