The wait is finally over! Makers of The Fantastic Four: First Step have finally released the trailer of the upcoming superhero flick, after teasing its arrival over the last few years. Starring Pedro Pascal, Joseph Quinn, Ebon Moss-Bachrach & Vanessa Kirby in the lead, they will be essaying the roles of Reed Richards aka Mister Fantastic, Johnny Storm aka Human Torch, Ben Grimm aka The Thing, and Sue Storm aka Invisible Woman, respectively. They are all set to bring forth the beloved characters to life on the big screen.

The trailer starts with giving us a background about The Fantastic Four team, about how they had gone to space and returned with supernatural powers. Becoming heroes, the residents of New York are grateful for their service. They are often thanked and showered with admiration for their work. We get a glimpse of the house they are staying at and get to know that Reed and Sue are expecting a baby. As things are fine and dandy, danger lurks in the shadows.

We are introduced to the female Silver Surfer, played by Julia Garner, a humanoid alien with a metallic skin. She can travel through space with her surf-board like craft. For those who are wondering why the Silver Surfer is a female in the film, a Hindustan Times report states that Marvel is not gender-swapping Silver Surfer in the film, but are introducing a new character into the role. For those who don’t know, Silver Surfer is Norrin Radd, someone from the utopian planet Zenn-La, who sacrifices himself to save his world from Galactus. The report adds that Garner will be playing the role of Shalla-Bal, Radd’s beloved in the film.

As the residents look towards Marvel’s First Family, that is The Fantastic Four team, they reassure everyone that they will save the world. With the tensions being high, we even get a glimpse of Galactus, a cosmic entity that consumes planets to sustain his life force.

Well, the trailer has left the fans certainly ecstatic as they are gushing about meeting the first family. They took to the comment section of the trailer and expressed their excitement. One wrote, “Love the fact that kids like the Thing instead of being scared or make fun of him.” Another wrote, “Galactus jaywalking in NYC is comic accurate.” Other one said, “Galactus strolling in NYC is like Ant-Man using a truck like a scooter in San Francisco.”

One commented, “Here’s the thing, I’m going to be transparent and I know this is a stretch but that trailer was so fire! Absolutely fantastic.” Another one commented, “All my childhood memories of Thing being one of my favorite heroes came back to me when he lifted the car for the kids. And most people don’t realize that in an alternate universe Shalla-Bal is indeed the Silver Surfer on Earth X. I’m excited to see this movie!!!”
