Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan will be taking on a new role in 2025. Having impressed everyone with his versatile performances and energetic dancing skills, he will be making his debut as a director for his upcoming superhero film Krrish 4. As fans are oozing with excitement for a new update on the film, several media reports suggest that the leading ladies from the previous films, Priyanka Chopra, Preity Zinta, and Rekha, will be making their return to the franchise.

Sharing an even bigger update on the plot of the film, News18 quoted a source by Instant Bollywood, stating that the upcoming movie will see Roshan’s character moving through different timelines, trying to eliminate the enemy. Despite the film being VFX-heavy, the focus of the film will remain on familial relationships.

The source said, “The plan is for Krrish to move through different timelines, past and future, to eliminate a major threat. While high on VFX and production, the film will stay rooted in family emotions and relationships.”

It is to be noted that the makers of the film are yet to share an update about the script or the storyline for the upcoming film. It will be interesting to see how they bring forth elements of time travel. The project is reportedly in pre-production at YRF Studios, with a dedicated team of VFX artists working on the film’s pre-visualisation and Hrithik & Aditya Chopra fine-tuning the script. While the shoot of the film is said to go on floors in the first quarter of 2026, the film will reportedly also mark the return of Jadoo, 23 years after the release of the franchise’s first instalment, Koi… Mil Gaya.

The superhero franchise is a spin-off of Roshan’s hit 2003 film Koi…Mil Gaya, co-starring Hrithik Roshan, Preity Zinta, and Rekha. The second film, Krrish (2006), took forward the story of Rohit (Hrithik) and Nisha’s (Preity) son Krishna, who is raised in a sheltered environment by his grandmother Sonia (Rekha). Things take a turn when he falls in love with Priya (Priyanka Chopra) and ventures out into the world. Circumstances led to him assuming the identity of Krrish, a superhero, due to his powers. The second film, Krrish 3 (2013), ended with Rohit’s death and Priya, Krishna realising their newborn kid also had supernatural powers.
