Ibrahim Ali Khan made his much-awaited Bollywood debut last week with Karan Johar’s film Nadaaniyan. The movie has become a trending topic on the internet for all the wrong reasons. While a certain section was impressed with the cast’s acting prowess, a larger section has ridiculed it. From alleging that AI robots would have acted better that Ibrahim and Khushi Kapoor, to taking dig at the makers for using ‘ChatGPT’ while writing the scripts and dialogues, netizens have been at their creative best while explaining their experience watching Nadaaniyan.
Amidst the ongoing backlash, Ibrahim recently re-posted a fan’s story on his Instagram which featured the movie’s subpar IMDb ratings. In the story posted on Monday, which was deleted by the actor himself shortly after, it is shown that the film has received 4.5/10 ratings. The percentage of users who gave the ratings were between 6-10, the ones below 6 were not added at all. It is also seen that around 74.9% people have given the film a 10 star rating. Mentioning the same, the 24-year-old actor’s fan, going by the Instagram handle @ibrahimsishq, wrote, “almost 75% gave it 10 stars on IMDB.”

Well, Khan reposting the story has instantly gone viral on social media and has invited more ire towards the star kid. Sharing a screenshot of the same on the subreddit Bolly Blinds N Gossip, netizens discussed how IMDb ratings don’t matter anymore as it is all about ‘AI reviews’ and ‘fake ratings’. Many even criticised the ‘delusional bubble nepo kids’ like staying in.

One wrote, “I think he just saw the 75% gave it 10 stars which is i think an added on text on top of the picture and was like YUP!! That’ll show all the haters. Not realizing the 4.5 is GLARINGLY obvious.” Another wrote, “If 75% gave it 10, how is the rating 4.5?” Other one wrote, “Those 75% people are his friends & Dharma employess.” One said, “At this point Bollywood has started believing the bubble that they have created to be some gospel truth. Bored of this shit!” Another wrote, “They’re so dumb and delusional honestly.”
