After joining the BJP to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections from her hometown, Mandi, Kangana Ranaut was met with criticism for her decision to enter politics was driven by her consecutive failures at the box office. However, the actress begs to differ as she believes she is ‘very much in demand’ in the film industry.

During her appearance at the Times Now Submit 2024, she addressed the criticism by likening her career graph to Shah Rukh Khan. As quoted by ETimes, she said, ”No one in the whole world faces such situations. Shah Rukh Khan had no successful films for 10 years, then Pathaan worked,”

She continued, ”I had no successful films for 7-8 years, then Queen worked, followed by Manikarnika in 3-4 years. Even now, there might be a very successful hit. Nowadays, this doesn’t happen”. She reportedly called herself and Shah Rukh Khan the ‘last generations of stars’ and opined that OTT cannot produce stars.
