This project transcends the boundaries of a mere film; it is a global cultural event deeply rooted in Indian storytelling, elevated by a team of world-class collaborators. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film boasts an extraordinary lineup, including Oscar-winner Hans Zimmer, who makes his Bollywood debut alongside AR Rahman, stunt director Guy Norris (Mad Max: Fury Road), and an international crew of creative talents. Ramayana assembles a dream team to reimagine India’s most revered epic for a worldwide audience.

Featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, Ramayana stands as the most significant cinematic event in Indian film history. Nitesh Tiwari, the film’s director, shared his vision, stating, “Ramayana is a story we’ve all grown up with. It carries the soul of our culture. Our aim was to honour that soul — and present it with the cinematic scale it truly deserves. As a filmmaker, it’s both a huge responsibility and a heartfelt honour to bring it to life. It’s a tale that has endured across millennia because it speaks to something deep and eternal within us. We are not simply making a film. We are offering a vision — one rooted in reverence, shaped by excellence, and made to transcend borders.”

Produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios and the 8-time Oscar-winning VFX studio DNEG, in collaboration with Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, Ramayana is being crafted for IMAX. Part 1 is slated for a global release during Diwali 2026, with Part 2 following in Diwali 2027, promising to deliver an epic experience that bridges cultural heritage with cutting-edge cinematic innovation.
