Saif Ali Khan Asked PM Modi How Many Hours He Rests; Here’s The Answer He Got

In a special moment honoring the legendary showman Raj Kapoor, his family met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 11 in Delhi. The Kapoor family was invited by PM Modi as part of celebrations marking Raj Kapoor’s 100th birth anniversary on December 14. The meeting quickly got viral, with photos circulating across social media.

Speaking to HT City, Saif Ali Khan shared his thoughts about the meeting, describing it as an inspiring and memorable occasion. “He arrived after a day in Parliament, so I was wondering if he would be tired. But he put on a warm smile and was attentive and charming to us all,” said Saif.

The gathering saw prominent members of the Kapoor family in attendance, including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Neetu Singh among others. Saif expressed gratitude for being part of the occasion through his connection to the Kapoors.

During the meeting, PM Modi took time to speak personally with Saif Ali Khan about his family, including his mother, veteran actor Sharmila Tagore and his late father, cricket legend Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. Saif said he asked how many hours does the Prime Minister rest.

“To me he looked like he was working very hard running the country, and still taking time to connect on this level. I asked him how much rest he got and he said about three hours a night. It was a special day for me,” Saif told HT.

The Kapoor family has also launched the Raj Kapoor 100 Film Festival from December 13-15 as part of the centenary celebrations. This special festival will showcase 10 iconic films of the cinema legend across 135 theatres in 40 cities, allowing fans to relive the magic of Raj Kapoor’s timeless work.
