Very recently, actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu was engaged in a back-and-forth argument with Twitter’s TheLiverDoc regarding the subject of alternative medicines. A few days later, Samantha opened up about her life over the past three years, especially her divorce from Naga Chaitanya, and her myositis diagnosis.
In an interview with Elle India, Samantha said she “went through fire” to reach where she is now. Samantha emphasized that, despite everything, she wouldn’t change any of her experiences. The actor said, “We all wish we could change certain things about our lives, and I sometimes wonder if I needed to have gone through the things I have. But looking back, I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
Samantha continued, “I was discussing this with my friend a while back, and I always thought I didn’t want the last three years to have happened, but now I feel that you have to deal with whatever life throws at you. And as long as you come out of it, you have won. I feel stronger and more rooted than ever. That’s because I went through fire to get here. Call it a spiritual awakening.” She then added, “In today’s world, you need spirituality more than ever because there’s so much pain and sickness. I believe that spirituality can be your best friend and an endless source of strength.”
After a year-long hiatus due to her myositis treatment, Samantha is getting ready to get back to work and will start shooting her next project in August. “I am excited to give it my all. I am also currently training for my new role; most projects I take up push me to learn a new skill, and I love that,” she said.
For those unaware, Samantha found herself in controversy after expressing support for alternative therapy. On her podcast, Take 20, Samantha endorsed nebulising hydrogen peroxide and distilled water as an alternative treatment for viral infections. This resulted in TheLiverDoc calling her “health and science illiterate.” He also said that she should be jailed for such claims.
Later, Samantha responded by saying that the treatment ‘worked wonderfully’ for her after ‘trial and error.’ Samantha, however, also said that she will be ‘more careful’ about the medical advice she shares.
