With Mohit Suri directorial Saiyaara doing an exceptional business at the box office since its release on July 18, actors Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda are being showered with love and admiration from all corners. Social media is filled with appreciative messages directed towards them as well as the makers. Amidst this, it is being reported that YRF’s head honcho Aditya Chopra is quite impressed with Ahaan’s, who made his Bollywood debut with the film, patience and dedication towards his career, so much so that he reminded him of actor Ranveer Singh.

For those who don’t know, just like Ahaan, Ranveer too made his Bollywood debut with the YRF-backed film Band Bajaa Baaraat (2010), co-starring Anushka Sharma. Quoting a report by Deccan Chronicle, News18 stated that Chopra is very impressed with the newly launched talent. In an interaction with the media publication, a close friend of the producer explained that the project with which the producer planned to launch the 27-year-old actor was delayed multiple times. However, he stuck around until Saiyaara happened, despite having been given a way out.

News18 quoted Deccan Chronicle’s source saying, “The project Adi planned with Ahaan was delayed multiple times. Ahaan was contractually bound to Yash Raj Films. Adi offered to release Ahaan from the contract. However, Ahaan chose to stay and said, ‘No sir, I will wait as long as it takes,’ and he remained committed until Saiyaara materialised.”

Having seen Ahaan’s dedication towards building a strong and successful career, Chopra is reportedly planning his next project starring the actor. It will reportedly be an action-packed film. The source added that the Saiyaara star is “contractually bound” with the producer for three films.

“Even before Saiyaara’s release, he was getting significant offers from major production houses. After Saiyaara’s release, these offers have increased, yet Ahaan remains loyal to YRF,” they added. They went on to mention that Aditya Chopra has been referring to Ahaan as the “new Ranveer Singh” at YRF, because of the close relationship he had once shared with the Don 3 actor.

Said to be an unofficial adaptation of the South Korean film A Moment To Remember (2004), Saiyaara is a tale of love, heartbreak, and pain, featuring Ahaan Panday as a rising musician Krish Kapoor and Aneet Padda as an innocent lyricist Vaani Batra. Released on July 18, 2025, the film is directed by Mohit Suri. Co-starring Rajesh Kumar, Varun Badola, Shaad Randhawa, and others, the film is produced by YRF.
